Jim was born on November 1, 1947 in Syracuse , NY to Frederick James and Laura Frances (McMickel) Bex. He received his Bachelor Of Atrs from Cornell University in 1969, he earned his Master’s and Ph.D from the University of Connecticut, For over 30 years he worked for Wyeth-Ayerst pharmaceuticals , leading the scientific department of Neuro-Endocrine research . A world expert in bone metabolism, he holds several patents for popular prescription drugs.
Jim loved supporting his three daughters and became on expert cheerleading, ballet and design as a result. He loved his 6 grandchildren between the ages of 7 and 1 and loved experiencing their milestones.
Jim was a voracious reader, Jim was a regular at his local libraries and he could be found reading the latest Sci-Fi or David McCullough novel. He was also a big fan of college football and could frequently be heard on any given Saturday recapping the Patriot League stats for his daughters alma maters or spectating at the University Of Pennsylvania Franklin Field.BEX
