The Historic Cumberland Cemetery has been serving Middletown Township, PA and its surrounding communities since 1885. A private, family owned cemetery, Cumberland Cemetery is a walk through the past, a history lesson and a study of Victorian architecture. Gravestones bear the names of early settlers of Chester and Delaware Counties and are works of art. Family plots are encircled by beautiful wrought iron gates, richly crafted by nineteenth century masters. Ancient trees, rooted in another century, spread their branches throughout the cemetery grounds.
A wide selection of new burial plots is currently available. To better serve our families, Cumberland Cemetery now offers cremation graves and traditional burial graves.
Cumberland Cemetery has a strong perpetual care fund and a fully-staffed maintenance crew that assures families the final resting place of their loved ones will be continuously maintained.
Montrose Memorials, a division of Cumberland Cemetery, provides a full line of monuments for use in our cemetery as well as those in the surrounding area. Montrose Memorials also has an inscription service available for existing monuments.

Recently, my brother and I were planning a visit to Cumberland Cemetery to locate family members. Thanks to the extraordinary help of Marjory, we were able to find most of those we sought. You can be commended for having such a wonderful person on your staff. She is definitely an asset and we are grateful for all of her help especially since it was such a very hot day.
